Grinch Sugar Cookies:

Ingredients:

2 Sticks Unsalted Butter

1 Cup of Sugar

3 Cups All-Purpose Flour

2 Eggs

1 tsp. Vanilla

2 tsp. of Baking Powder

1 tsp. of Salt

30 Drops of Liquid Green Food Coloring

Instructions: Cream the butter and sugar together in a large bowl and then add the eggs and vanilla.  Once thoroughly combined, add the baking powder, salt and food coloring. Next add the flour into the mixture, one cup at a time, thoroughly combining as you add. Chill the dough for 1-3 hours. Roll out the batter, try to handle it as little as possible, because it will warm to your touch. Cut out desired shapes. If you want to draw hearts or the Grinch scene, use a toothpick to do that.  Add sprinkles and decorate before the cookies enter the oven.  Preheat the oven to 350F and let the cookies bake for about 7-10 minutes.  Enjoy!

HF Annual Art Show

Each year students at our school create projects during July and August for our annual parent art show which takes place the end of summer. This year, our students ages 2-5 years learned about different forms of art (impressionism, modernism, landscapes and self-portraits) as well as science exploration. Students in our infant classroom learned about creatures under the sea and students in our toddler classroom had fun with Dr. Seuss. Take a look below at all of the amazing artwork our children have made! We had a fantastic time visiting with parents and cannot wait to see what they make next year!

Support Our St. Jude Trike-A-Thon!

This Friday, June 10th, our students will be participating in our annual St. Jude Trike-A-Thon to raise money for the children at St. Jude Children’s Hospital. All donations collected will go directly to the children at St. Jude to pay for their life-saving treatments. At St. Jude, no parent or child is ever turned away because of their inability to pay. It is because of generous people like you who donate, that these children are beating cancer!

To support Happy Faces Daycare and St. Jude, please click on the link below to make a donation- No amount is too small!
